Chiropractic & Pregnancy
Your Baby, Your Body
A pregnant woman needs to have her body as healthy and strong as possible in order to handle the rigors of pregnancy and childbirth. Chiropractic care will help ensure that all body systems, especially the reproductive system including the uterus, ovaries and related organs and structures so essential for healthy pregnancy, function properly. If the slightest nerve interference occurs between the brain to the body organs and systems, it could adversely affect the mother and the developing fetus. Dr. Rich will look for these nerve interferences in the spinal column and correct them with a specific Gonstead Chiropractic adjustment. Another great reason for chiropractic care during pregnancy is that it is drugless. Drugs whether prescribed or over the counter can harm the growing fetus and you. There is no such thing as a safe drug, all have side affects. Antibiotics, aspirin, alcohol,
cigarettes, marijuana, and cocaine, even cough syrup and cold and flu medications have been linked to fetal damage and miscarriage. Chiropractic care can help maintain pregnancy, control vomiting, deliver full-term infants with ease and help produce healthier infants. It also has helped back pain, premature contractions and back labor.
